Lindsay & Lindsay finish 2nd, Lane and Brandon finish 3rd
Many, LA (February 28th, 2025) – An impressive 210 teams launched under picture perfect conditions to kick off the The 2026 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s Texas Team Trail presented by Progressive season. With strong spawn/pre-spawn conditions setting up, anglers reported steady actions throughout the day. By weigh in, 30 teams crossed the stage with 20lb+ plus bags in their Rapala Crush City bags, showcasing just how well Toledo Bend is fishing to start the season.
Familiar names topped the leaderboard once again. After winning the 2025 TXTT Championship and finishing second at Toledo Bend last season, Cody Pitt and Cole Moore returned determined to settle unfinished business and did just that. One of the strongest teams in the field dropped a massive five fish limit weighing 43lbs 7 ounces to claim their second consecutive victory.
The win earned the team $58,485 in cash and prizes, including a 2026 Ranger Z518 powered by a Mercury 150 Pro XS. Adding to the moment, Pitt & Moore became the first team to lift the new TXTT first-place trophies.
It was a magical day on Toledo Bend,” the team shared. “It was beautiful, the lake’s fishing well, and it was a phenomenal day”.
Their winning pattern consisted of targeting staging areas in 10-20 feet of water, rotating between an A-rig and a Strike King 6XD to capitalize on pre-spawn movement. The pattern produced consistently throughout the day and sealed the victory.
Finishing in second place, the Lindsay/Lindsay father-and-son team delivered a strong performance in a heartwarming tournament storyline.
“This morning it started pretty slow until we caught a 7-pounder off the bed,” they said. “It was slow until about now, and then we were able to secure a few more solid ones. Super fun to get to fish with his dad.”
Dad added, “Any chance I get to jump in the boat with my son, I take it. Love the tournament and hope to jump in a few more.”
Rounding out the top three, Lane/Brandon capitalized not only on their on-the-water performance but also on running the right equipment. The team collected the $500 Garmin Trolling Motor Bonus and the $500 Garmin Electronics Exclusive Bonus, adding an extra $1,000 to their payout.
7th Place team, Crowell and Taylor took home the Power Pole Big Bass award with a massive 12-1 Toledo Bend bass.
With momentum already building, the 2026 season also introduced several new fan-focused features, including interactive live leaderboards, expanded on-the-water live coverage, and additional streaming platforms to make it easier than ever to follow the action.
