February 6th, 2025 (SPRINGFIELD, Mo.) – The first qualifying event of the 2025 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s Texas Team Trail presented by Progressive is coming to Sam Rayburn Reservoir this Saturday, February 8. Teams from throughout the state of Texas and beyond will be competing for a first-place prize of a 2025 Ranger Z518 boat, motor, trailer package valued at $52,995.
After careful consideration, the TXTT staff has decided this weekend’s tournament will be a trailering event.
Teams completing the mandatory on-site registration process from 3-6pm on Friday evening will be allowed to launch at any public boat ramp on Sam Rayburn Saturday morning and perform a safety check of their equipment before departing from the ramp. Boats may begin launching into the water at 6:00am CST. First cast will be at 7:00am and fishing must cease (lines out) at 3:00pm. Anglers may then load their boats and trailer with their day’s catch to Umphrey Family Pavilion for weigh-in.
One team angler must check in and return their buoy at the American flag next to the trailer/stage by 4:15pm to avoid late penalties. Each team will be issued an official Rapala Crush City weigh-in bag upon checking in and will be required to use this bag to bring their fish to the weigh-in line. All teams, regardless of having fish or not, MUST return to Umphrey Family Pavilion and check out with staff before leaving the lake to ensure that every team is accounted for.
The cove at Umphrey Family Pavilion from the No Wake buoys to the back is off limits (see map below}.
Teams choosing to practice on Friday must be pre registered with all membership and entry fees paid prior to launching. Anglers may call 580-765-9031 or register online here: https://outdoorteamworks.com/trail/txtt/registration/
