Day One of the 2026 National Walleye Tour is Complete!
MONROE, Mich. (April 9, 2026) — Day One of the Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s National Walleye Tour presented by Progressive is in the books, with Lake Erie delivering big weights despite challenging conditions.
Anglers battled rough water, long runs, and shifting fish throughout the day, but strong execution led to a tightly packed leaderboard.

Day One Leaders
Leading the field are Austin Tomasek and David Yoder with 44 pounds, 10 ounces. Jake Caughey and Rostyslav Chop sit in second with 42 pounds, 6 ounces, followed by Isaac Lakich and Eric Wesolowski with 42 pounds even.
On the Water
Conditions proved tough across Lake Erie, forcing anglers to adjust throughout the day.

Looking Ahead: Day 2
With a tight leaderboard and changing conditions, Day Two is wide open. Lake Erie has the potential for big swings, and ounces will once again make the difference.
The field will launch at 7:30 AM ET or first light from Bolles Harbor Boat Launch, as anglers head back onto Lake Erie looking to make their move up the leaderboard.
