Many, LA (June 8, 2024) – The most exciting event in TXTT is finally here! Day-1 of the 2024 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s Texas Team Trail presented by Progressive Championship on Toledo Bend Reservoir greeted anglers to a beautiful sunny day in east Texas. The perfect conditions for the Top-75 teams from 2024 Progressive Team of the Year points to absolutely catch them, and the weights weren’t short of that.
At the end of Day-1 on Toledo Bend, Nitro Boats team anglers Calan Cameron & Jake Inderman take the lead with a five-bass limit in their Rapala ‘Crush City’ bag worth 28-04.
“Man, today was the day you dream of”, said the former college anglers. “We started up fishing shallow and then eventually moved out deep. We caught primarily our weight today in the late morning fishing stuff we found in practice, really depending on Garmin LiveScope to get it done.”
The team reported catching multiple keepers throughout the day and remain very optimistic about tomorrow.
“To win this tournament would mean the world to us. We couldn’t do it thought without Nitro Boats, Garmin, 6th Sense, our Lord above, and of course our families. For being two of the younger anglers out there, all we can do is just go fishing tomorrow and leave it all out on the water.”
