Brookeland, TX (February 8th, 2025) –The first team to weigh-in at the 2025 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s Texas Team Trail presented by Progressive on Sam Rayburn Reservoir takes the victory with a Texas five fish limit of 41-09 in their Rapala ‘Crush City’ weigh bag!
The anglers Harris and Potter reported not depending on technology and solely went out to a spot discovered in a tournament previously in the year hoping to just catch a limit. And 10 fish catches later the team had 41-09 in their best five-fish limit and caught another 27- to 28- pound bag that they left swimming.
“It feels great to get the year started out this way,” said Mercury owner Riley Harris. “Dropping a big bag like this really boosts a lot of confidence. We are very proud to get this done”.
6th Sense crankbaits we the primary weapons of choice for the team, and the team said color didn’t really seem to matter. “The fish were just stacked in the area we were in, like we mentioned we just went there hoping to get a limit. But what we caught was just magical….it was like a dream”.
The team’s bag was anchored by a 10-11 which was big enough to take home the Power-Pole Big Bass honors.
The team takes home a 2025 Ranger Z-518 boat, motor, and trailer package valued at $52,995. Additionally, the team also wins a Power-Pole Sportsman II shallow water anchor system and takes home the $500 Garmin Trolling motor bonus for having a Garmin Force trolling motor.
