Progressive Angler of the Year Race After Oshkosh

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (May 23, 2023) – The 2023 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s National Walleye Tour presented by Progressive is halfway over. Last week, 144 Pro-Anglers and Co-Anglers competed on Lake Winnebago, where after two days of competition Mercury Pro Todd Zemke walked away the champion collecting just shy of $90,000 in cash and prizes.

Looking into the rest of the season, the Progressive Angler of the Year race is already starting to get hot and heavy. Leading the way right now is Wisconsin angler and Mercury Pro Justin Schneider. Justin has captured a 7th (Spring Valley) and 11th (Oshkosh) finishes so far for 2023 leading into Pickstown, SD next month. But not too far behind him is veteran angler Roy Vivian in second, just four points behind. And, rounding out the Top-3 in Progressive Angler of the Year points currently is the 2022 National Walleye Tour Angler of the Year Duane Hjelm.
