SPRINGFIELD, MO. (May 7, 2024) – The 2024 Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s Texas Team Trail presented by Progressive recently completed its fourth and final regular season event this last weekend on Richland Chambers. With the competition of this event, all eyes are now on the 2024 Progressive Team of the Year points race, and the 2024 TXTT Championship on Toledo Bend next month. During the upcoming championship two boats will be awarded, one for the Progressive Team of the year winners and one for the championship winners.
In addition to those prizes the top 10 places will be paid during the championship and the top 25 teams also have a chance to earn prizes for their finishes in Progressive Team of the Year race. There is also a chance to win a variety of contingency prizes based during the event. In total, over $100,00 in cash and prizes will be awarded the week of the 2024 TXTT Championship on Toledo Bend. This includes a 2024 Nitro Z-18 with 150hp Mercury motor to the TXTT Championship winning team, and a 2024 Ranger Z-518 with 150hp Mercury motor to the 2024 TXTT Progressive Team of the Year.
After the four regular season events, the team of Brian Schott & Jim Smith are still sitting at the top of the standings for the Progressive Team of the Year title. The team finished 13th place this past weekend on Richland Chambers to hold onto the top spot. Their finishes now include 16th – Sam Rayburn Reservoir, 19th – Sam Rayburn Reservoir, and 17th at Lake Fork. The duo has amassed 939 points. Should they hold on to win the Team of Year title they will win a 2024 Ranger Z-518 powered by a Mercury 150hp Pro XS, Free 2025 TXTT Memberships, a Bass Pro Shops Guidewear Set, and Free 2025 TXTT Entry Fees.
Moving into second with 934 points is the TXTT team of Thomas Martens & Dean Alexander. Thomas & Dean have also cashed a check in all four regular season events of the 2024 TXTT season to includes a Top-5 finish at Lake Fork.
In third, with 926 points for the 2024 year is the team of Shane Howell & Jeff Reynolds. Also cashing checks in all of the regular season events 2024, this team has stayed consistent all year and will be in contention for the title.

Qualified teams can look for the Championship registration link to be emailed this Wednesday, May 8th. Teams will need to register via the link provided by 3pm CST on Friday, May 31st.
In addition, there will be five alternate teams that will take the place of any of the Top-75 teams who cannot make the 2024 TXTT Championship or decline their qualification. In that event, teams finishing 75th – 80th in Progressive Team of the Points will be contact to fill in a spot that has been declined.
